Official GNR Runners Village – Start Line

Park View Residences accommodation, is located in the centre of the Great North Run Athlete Village and will host 100’s of athletes and spectators, giving it that “Olympic Village” vibe. and is only 1.3mile from the start line.

Part of Newcastle University, the Great North Run Athlete Village is perfectly positioned at just over half a mile from the start line, around a 10-minute walk.  Plus, with the centre of Newcastle only a 10-minute walk the opposite way, you can easily enjoy the wide range of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants the city has to offer.

Rooms here are private, en-suite rooms within larger apartments with communal, open-plan lounge/kitchen areas.  All bedrooms feature a single bed with underbed storage, wardrobe with mirror, desk, and en-suite shower room.  If you are travelling with 5-7 people, you can even opt to book out the entire apartment, giving you private access to each of the self-contained bedrooms and the communal areas – perfect for families or groups travelling together.   (Please note: Bedding, towels and toilet rolls are provided.  Crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment is not included.)

If you are checking out on race day, you must vacate your room before the start of the race. Luggage storage is available on-site or GNR baggage busses will transport your luggage to the finish line for collection.

If you are not booking an entire apartment, you will need 1 single room for each person in your party.  Wherever possible, we will make sure that you are in the same apartment together.
