In the West of Portugal, between Porto and Lisbon is Coimbra, a city full of tradition and history. Straddling both banks of the River Mondego, the city is home to one of Europe’s Oldest Universities and a haven for both art & culture fanatics and foodies.
HOW CAN YOU GET THERE?
The nearest airport to Coimbra is Viseu Airport (VSE), which is around 74 km away. Other nearby airports include Porto (OPO) (116 km) and Lisbon (LIS) (170 km). You can hire a car and self-drive, connect using local transport or use our ‘Meet and Greet Airport Transfer Service’ to remove any hassle out of your arrival.
You can travel to Coimbra via train from London, which would see you take 4 trains – including the Eurostar – and travel through France and Spain on your way.
