Daytona Beach is in Volusia County, on Florida’s Atlantic coast. It’s known for Daytona International Speedway, which hosts February’s iconic Daytona 500 NASCAR race and will play host to the USAT Long Course national Championship. The beach stretches for 23 miles between the Ocean and the famous boardwalk, filled with shops, restaurants, bars, rides and arcades.
HOW CAN YOU GET THERE?
Getting to Daytona Beach is easy, as two of the state’s major interstates intersect here – I-95 (north and south) and I-4 (coming in from the west). Other major corridors leading into the area include U.S. Highway 1, U.S. Highway 92, and S.R. 40, which connects to I-75 and S.R.
If you are taking an internal flight, the closest airport is Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB), around 3.5 miles away.
