WHERE WILL YOU RACE?

Istria is a heart-shaped peninsula in the north west of Croatia, reaching deep into the clear blue waters of the Adriatic Sea.  Think rolling hills that overlook fields and valleys with little towns perched on the peaks, streams that flow into the sea though deep ravines and hillside vineyards and olive groves.

HOW CAN YOU GET THERE?

Nestled only 12km from the Slovenian border and 36km from the Italian border, the city of Umag is the official race venue and is easy to reach by car.

The nearest airport to Umag is Pula (PUY) in the south of the peninsular, around 83km away. Italian airport Trieste (TRS) is around 92km away.  Both have regular flights from many European airports.  Airport transfers are highly recommended as public transport is difficult here, with no rail options and public buses require using multiple lines with long journey times.

OPTION 1 – available for all races

• Accommodation at an Official Race Hotel near the Event Village – stay in a convenient location with other like-minded athletes and supporters, creating a real community feel and atmosphere

OPTION 2 – For races that start and end in different locations

• Accommodation at an Official Race Hotel near the start line before your race  – Avoid race day shuttles and adjust yourself to the altitude ahead of your race
• Transport of your luggage, and any supporters, from the start line to the finish line, whilst you are on the run course
• Accommodation at an Official Race Hotel near the finish line atfer your race – your room will be ready on arrival so no matter what time you finish, a hot shower and a soft bed, plus your luggage, will be waiting for you
