Fruita, known for its outdoor adventures like epic mountain biking and kayaking, is located in the high desert of western Colorado. The course sweeps through desert landscapes, red rock cliffs overlooking the Colorado river and up into the mesas.

HOW CAN YOU GET THERE?
Fruita is on the US highway I-70, which runs through the centre of the USA between Utah and Maryland. Public transport is possible from larger cities such as Denver and Salt-Lake City but can be difficult, requiring a number of well-timed buses and trains.
The nearest airport to Fruita is Grand Junction (GJT) Airport which is 11 miles away. Other nearby airports include Montrose (MTJ) 64 miles away, Aspen (ASE) and Eagle (EGE), both around 100 miles away.
